Who We Are

At Gooding First we are disciples of Jesus Christ committed to making disciples in our families, our church, and our community. We do this through intentional environments, building meaningful relationships and teaching Jesus both by word and by our actions with others.

The Vision

Loving God, Loving Others, Making Disciples

The Mission

We are committed to making disciples through intentional relationships in our families our church and our community.

The Process

ACTS 2:42-47 (NIV84)

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Communion

We take communion on a weekly basis. If you have put your trust in Jesus as your Savior you are welcome to join us for communion. Currently we are using pre-packaged cups that have juice and bread in them.

Offering

Offering is a time for those that call Gooding First their home. If you are new, don’t feel obligated to give. We use online giving as well as in person collection plates.

Sermons

Our sermons are biblically based and instructive to helping us live the best life now. Christ called us to live life to the fullest, and through our weekly teaching we are challenged and encouraged to see how God is working, where He is working and how we can be a part of the disciple making mission that he has called us to.

Pastor

Scott Williams has been our lead pastor since July of 2018. Scott has served in ministries in Arizona, Tennessee, California, Ohio and now here in Idaho. He is extremely passionate about sharing Christ’s love and mercy to the community around him. Scott and his wife Frances have two boys, Elijah(20) and Yonatan (17). Between running from one sporting event to the next Scott enjoys exploring the mountains, camping and BBQ. Scott is also the Chaplin and a volunteer firefighter at the Gooding Rural Fire District.
